Art:Ancient and Classical

WHAT:
Ancient art was the art of many ancient civilization. The truth is ,the makers of this art, they did not intended to do it as for art purposes but for giving information and making notes of they are doing at the time. The Ancient art starts at PREHISTORIC TIME that  can be divided in three great era first PALEOLITHIC,MESOLITHIC and NEOLITHIC. Paleolithic or the OLD STONE AGE in this era most of the art was more on stone carving and cave painting. This era focuses on naturalism and forms of the animals. One of the famous art in this era was the Venus of Willendorf . MIDDLE STONE AGE or The Mesolithic Era is next. This era began with the final retreat of the glaciers. Of course the climate change, it became milder, the people now adjust to their new ecological conditions and experiment different food gathering technique. The art here focuses on the human form. Lastly the NEOLITHIC or the NEW STONE AGE. The great Stonehenge in Southern England is the one popular art that was made in this era. This era focuses to Architectural  art.
Now lets go to the Ancient Art in the different civilization in the near east.  Sumer, Akkad, Babylonia, Assyria and Persia. Here the written language was born the CUNEIFORM of Sumer, the social organization, government, science, art and also architecture was emphasize.

From the Ancient Art let's jump to CLASSICAL ART.
Classical Arts subject was people and gods. Mostly arts in this age use the technique realism. Humanism, Rationalism, Idealism and Naturalism are the categories of it. Classical art also includes Greek Art and Roman art. Greek uses bronze and their subject was their gods and Romans uses loss wax technique and uses human as their subject.
The popular Colosseum was the product of this age

*If you are attempting to make a artwork and you want it to be classical  then I can say that you will have a hard time. WHY? You will have a hard time unless you're an expert because this art seeks perfection. You're masterpiece must be "at the top", did you get what I mean.  But don't be discourage, you just need patience, determination(note: to the highest level) and  some skills. Ancient art, if you want to do this you will need, of course, patience, determination but unlike in the classical art you don't need expert's skill to do this.*

I can say that I am an artist but I know that I am not a product of this era. First of all because I can say that I am not into gods and life; Second I am not a perfectionist. But there is one thing that Classical Age influence me and that is Architecture.

HOPE YOU LEARN SOMETHING! :)
